The County Library team recently requested Facilities Management’s help with the installation of cutting-edge technology at the Lucerne Valley Branch Library. This technology will provide 32 Library branches in the county access to a first-of-its-kind Observatory in the United States. After meeting with the department to confirm their needs, FM Project Management team assured the department that their project could be accomplished with in-house labor and a small portion provided by three bid contracts. FM worked closely with Library staff and the observatory manufacturer PrimaLuceLab to ensure the installed infrastructure met the equipment specifications. The FM team was on hand to support the installation of the telescope. The Observatory will significantly impact our community, and the Facilities Management team is proud to have been part of the project
