The asphalt at the eastern vehicle roundabout of the Rancho Cucamonga Court House has been deteriorating over the past few years and beginning to create safety concerns. This area experiences high traffic volume, with both vehicles passing through and pedestrians walking to and from the public parking lots to the Court House entrance. The deteriorating condition of the asphalt presented a hazard, especially in high-traffic areas. To address this, the Facilities Management-PM Team, in collaboration with one of our third party contractors, coordinated the removal of 4 inches of damaged asphalt. This was followed by the installation of new hot plant mix asphalt, which not only resolved the immediate safety issue but also improved the overall durability of the surface. This project ensures a safer environment for both pedestrians and vehicles.
