The Sheriff-Coroner Facility recently underwent a refresh, revitalizing spaces that had not been updated in decades. As part of this effort, the original public reception counter—dating back to the 1980s—was refurbished to enhance both functionality and the overall visitor experience.

Interior improvements focused on the public lobby and restrooms. The lobby now features new sound-reducing flooring, updated LED lighting with dimmer controls to accommodate sensitive situations, fresh paint, and a refinished public counter. Restrooms were modernized with new countertops and automatic faucets, and the outdated 1980s-era drinking fountains were removed. A modern color palette was introduced throughout the space, creating a warmer and more welcoming environment for both visitors and employees.

Exterior enhancements included significant upgrades to the parking lot. Damaged asphalt was repaired, severely deteriorated areas were resurfaced, and the entire lot received a new sealcoat and restriping. Fire curbs, bollards, hydrants, and designated coroner parking curbs were repainted and clearly labeled, resulting in a clean, cohesive appearance.

Together, these interior and exterior improvements modernized the facility and reinforced a professional, calming, and welcoming presence for the community it serves.
