This project was completed on March 16, 2023, and provided public improvements to the accessible access at the Trona Public Library located in downtown Trona.
The scope of work included resurfacing of the parking lot, complete path of travel repairs, install one (1) light pole and one (1) flag pole to include, sawcut existing asphalt pavement, remove and replace wheel stops, remove existing asphalt pavement at the parking lot and driveways, export concrete debris, scarify and recompact existing subgrade, rough grade temporary handicap parking stalls and install temporary handicap parking stalls on the westside of the building, install truncated dome at existing ADA ramp, install #4 rebars, pour new 4” concrete pavement, install expansion joint and caulking, restripe parking stalls, install new handicap stall, sign and post, slot patch asphalt at transition locations. Install new light pole to include excavate to put in conduit to connect to light pole, concrete base for light pole and install two lights on light pole. Remove and replace ADA path of travel to include saw cut and demo existing concrete sidewalk, regrade to meet ADA requirements, install rebar, pour new concrete ADA walkways to meet slope requirements and install expansion joints. Procure and install new flagpole to include the foundation site work, pole and flag. Provide one (1) American flag. The flagpole is 25 feet in height and resists a minimum 110 MPH wind loads with concealed internal halyard, cleat box and aluminum finish.
