Project Management Division completed the Glen Helen Restroom Replacements Project in July 2023! This project consisted of asbestos abatement, demolition of three restrooms between Lakeside and Meadowlark, grading and installation of three prefabricated restrooms to include plumbing and electrical connections. Additionally, site work involved construction of new American with Disabilities (ADA) parking spaces with signage and accessible walkways, demolition, and reinstallation of 40 LF of concrete curb, and installation of temporary and permanent signage.
This was one project of many dedicated to removing barriers to access for those with disabilities and increasing the amenities and splendor of Glen Helen Regional Park. Future projects at Glen Helen include waterslide replacements, splash pad expansion, snack bar rehabilitation, and other construction on the island.
