The Civic Center Building recently received parking lot improvements to address critical lighting deficiencies that have impacted visibility, safety, and overall site functionality. The existing parking lot light pole fixtures were outdated, with several inoperative lights and the remaining fixtures emitting a dim, yellow-toned illumination that provided inadequate coverage across the site. This condition resulted in poorly lit areas that diminished safety and limited nighttime usability.

The improvements included the replacement of existing light heads with modern, energy-efficient LED fixtures designed to deliver brighter, uniform white light distribution. These upgraded LED fixtures significantly enhanced visibility for pedestrians and vehicles, improved security, and reduced long-term energy and maintenance costs.

In addition to the LED lighting upgrade, the parking lot underwent comprehensive pavement rehabilitation, including crack sealing, surface repairs, application of a protective seal coat, and new striping. These improvements not only enhance the overall appearance of the facility but also extend the service life of the pavement, protect it from further deterioration, and ensure clear, well-defined traffic and parking delineation.

This project reflects a commitment to a safe, more functional building environment for employees and the public.
